It's so cold

Doodle is my most social feral.  In fact he really isn't feral.  He loves attention and I love kissing the top of his head.   He will be 11 this year, the youngest in my two colonies. Doods, seems to feel the cold more than the other kitties and it breaks my heart to walk away after feeding.  Sometimes it causes me to shed tears because Doods, Ollie, Jag and Spirit have to stay outside while I return home to a warm house.  Que and Jazz who are at the other location are seldom seen these days but paw prints in the snow lets me know they are around, probably tucked deep inside their shelters.

The other day I gave Doods this warm Snuggle Safe to stand on while he ate and he stayed on it even after he finished his dinner.  Now I give him a Snuggle Safe to stand on each time I feed.

I've just returned from feeding dinner to the kitties.   It's so windy only Doods and Spirit came out to eat.

Tonight the wind is really blowing hard with gusts up to 100 km/hr  along the lakeshore, which is where my two colonies are located.  At least the shelters are wind proof with lots of straw bedding for the cats to cozy into.

I'll be back tomorrow morning with breakfast for the kitties and warm Snuggle Safes.  Only for the kitties would I consider going out in this weather.

Jack in His Forever Home

Below are three pictures I received this morning of Jack the kitty someone threw away in late October.  These pictures are of Jack in his new forever home where he is loved.  The report is that Jack is doing very well and has made himself right at home.  I was pretty sure Jack would fit right in because of how he responded to life in his foster home.

What great news that his new family is so happy he is a part of their home.  I couldn't have wished for anything better.
